Mazquerade Mask

Some time this year I sketched a rough idea for a renaissance batman, and the idea stuck with me, so when prompted to procure a masquerade mask for a friends' gathering it felt natural to attempt to make my own.

I roughed out some orthographic ideas as guides.

Vi found me a mask base from The Works so this gave me a relieving head start to the tricky business and shaping and attaching the mask to my head.

I made some mockup shapes out of rough pieces of scrap paper before moving onto shaping the card I'd bought from Papercraft.

And here's the 'finished' result as it came together before donning a Tux, snapping some photos and adding some photoshop magic. Quite pleased with the result of two days worth of winging it.
